I got my start writing professionally as a sportswriter. I worked for a few newspapers in Florida, and then started my own newsletter in Madison, Wisconsin. After that, I worked for the Thomasville Times-Enterprise in Thomasville, Georgia. That was the time I did my most intensive writing — two or three stories a day, every day, and then copy editing and helping to lay out the daily page.
The clips I’ve assembled below are not a complete library of my work at the TE, and the quality of them, as you’ll see, is lacking, But my time in Thomasville was an important part of my career, and I wanted a place to reference some of the work I did.
